Who We Are

Yeah Copy is an Australian app for truck drivers. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and your rights under Australian privacy law, including the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

What Information We Collect

• Email address — collected when you create an account. Used for login and account management only.
• Username — chosen by you, displayed alongside your community submissions.
• Push notification token — collected if you grant notification permissions. Used only to send you alerts about weighbridge status changes for bridges you've favourited.
• Community content — incident reports, bridge status updates, and comments you submit. This content is visible to all users of the app.
• Anonymous usage data — non-identifiable crash reports and feature usage analytics to help us improve the app. Not linked to your account.

Location Data

If you enable Proximity Alerts in your profile settings, Yeah Copy will access your device location in the background to notify you when you are within 20km of a weighbridge with an active status report. Location data is processed on your device only and is not stored or transmitted to our servers. This feature is entirely optional and can be disabled at any time in your profile settings. Battery usage may increase slightly when Proximity Alerts are enabled.

How We Use Your Information

• To create and manage your account
• To send push notifications you've opted into
• To display community-submitted content in the app
• To improve app stability and performance
• To investigate misuse or false reporting where required

We do not use your information for advertising or marketing purposes. We do not sell your data. Ever.

Third Party Services

Yeah Copy uses the following third-party services to operate:

• Supabase — our backend database and authentication provider. Your account data and community content is stored on Supabase infrastructure. Supabase operates data centres in multiple regions; data may be stored outside Australia. See supabase.com/privacy.
• RevenueCat — manages subscription status. We share a non-identifiable user ID with RevenueCat to verify your subscription. No personal details are shared. See revenuecat.com/privacy.
• Expo / EAS — used to build and deliver the app. Expo may collect anonymous diagnostic data. See expo.dev/privacy.
• Apple / Google — payments are processed entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store). We do not handle or store payment card details.

Data Storage

We take reasonable steps to protect your information using industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption and access controls. However, no internet-based system is completely secure.

Data may be stored or processed outside Australia by our third-party providers (see above). By using the app you consent to this transfer.

Your Rights

Under Australian privacy law you have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate information
• Request deletion of your account and all associated data

Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Community content you've posted may remain visible after account deletion unless you specifically request its removal. Anonymous usage data is retained indefinitely in aggregated form.

Children's Privacy

Yeah Copy is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
